Will there be more skill updates soon?
yea hi,
sorry if this has been asked before but i wanted to know if we are going to see more unused elites buffed later
alot of the buffs were good but there are still loads of other elites that could use a buff *cough*[wastrel's collapse]*cough*
that's just one on the list of useless elites
so i just wondered if we're gonna see more exciting skill buffs that will excite everyone to see what new builds will be invented with these skill changes
so an answer to that would be appreciated
Alastor

They just buffed a shitton of skills.
It's going to be a long time until another skill balance of significant size.

Yea, I don't think there is going to be skill buffs anytime soon, just a ton of nerfs to the skills ANET buffed because people like to overuse things till other people get owned by it and bitch about it until the whole mess turns into a QQ storm.

Probably won't know until the first Thursday of September, since that would be the next major update. But even in that case, I'd have to agree with Snow Bunny that it will be a while before they have another skill update that huge.

I'd like to see them go back and buff some of the underused or eclipsed normal skills as well as some of the elites they missed. Also some of the elites they buffed like [mirror of ice] still probably need a little more tweaking in order to be usable.

Mirror of ice is actually perfectly fine.
It makes water magic very powerful in PVP, you can smap water hexes and hit for plenty damage with Ice Spikes / Deep Freeze / Blurred Vision / Freezing Gust.

This was a one time major buff of lots of elites, izzy spent a a good couple of weeks on it and has now probably moved onto something else... why are people expecting more? There will be the usual small skill updates to come but don't expect more major changes.

September update...Word of Censure and Ray of Judgment, thank you, come again.
Edit: I'm talking about PvE ofcourse, don't wanne make PvP'rs cry and wet their pants again when it comes to smiting.
The buff to signet of rage was not really a great buff, it's a move from conditional damage to direct damage. But it was something at least.

Don't think we need another buff in the smiting line after we just had the 4 monk meta. PvE ? dunno lot more useful fun elites there anyway.
Don't expect another major skill buff update soon. Still having fun exploring the full potentials (read abuse) of this one. September would be my bet as well ... perfectly fine as well for me.
Summertime babe!

This is Anet we're talking about. I think that's all that really needs to be said.

Rofl QFT.
I don't think there will be a big skill update in a while. It took long enough to get the last update out

Don't count on them making unless elites useful.
So far all they are doing is taking perfectly fine elites and making them unless.

Agreed. They need to wait an see how the meta will shift and settle before they do another serious shake up.
Randomly just buffing/changing the functionality of too many skills too quickly could lead to bad outcomes for PvP with unexpected combos.

We also need an AI rollback. The latest nerf was completely uncalled for.

Agree.
NO NERFS AI REVERT IT THEN BUFF. So we don't have... 5 useless heroes (Zenmai, Anton, Goren, Koss and Jora). If you don't know what's wrong with current or pre-nerf AI, I and many other players can point out at least 4-6 things.
